What is a Memorial Rock?
A memorial rock is a unique and wonderful way to pay tribute to a passed loved one. Whether it be a person or pet, Everlasting Memories carries a generous medley of memorial rocks. In addition to our standard boulder memorial rocks, Everlasting Memories also has an estate boulder, a memorial tree and pet memorial rocks. All of our varieties of memorial rocks have been molded from actual boulders and trees and are unbelievably lifelike.
The standard memorial rocks are made of durable casings that are hollowed out and are approximately 1 inch thick. Each memorial rock has an opening at the bottom and weighs approximately 40-70 pounds. They are manufactured of construction grade GFRC cast stone and can endure freeze-thaw conditions and 9,000 pounds per square inch of pressure. The memorial rocks are designed to last for generations to come and withstand the elements of time and weather. In fact, a national expert in the restoration of granite and marble historical monuments (for example the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery) has given an estimation that GFRC cast stone products should last 100 to 150 years before requiring any maintenance or work. This is approximately the same duration that granite and marble monuments need work. All of our memorial rocks can be ordered with or without a 250 cubic inch internal urn or a double urn.
Our estate series memorial rocks weigh approximately 300-400 pounds and are precise duplications of 2 ½ ton boulders. Our estate memorial rocks are hollow and have an opening at the bottom. They are available in three colors and are manufactured of construction grade GFRC cast stone. Our estate boulders can endure freeze-thaw conditions and 9,000 pounds per square inch of pressure. The memorial rocks are designed to last for generations to come and withstand the elements of time and weather.
Our pet memorial rocks come in two sizes: standard and estate. Our standard pet memorial rock weighs approximately 80-100 pounds and is available in three colors. Each pet standard memorial rock has an opening at the bottom and weighs approximately 80-100 pounds. They are manufactured of construction grade GFRC cast stone and can endure freeze-thaw conditions and 9,000 pounds per square inch of pressure. Our estate pet memorial rocks are also manufactured of construction grade GFRC cast stone and can endure freeze-thaw conditions and 9,000 pounds per square inch of pressure. They weigh approximately 300-400 pounds. Our estate pet memorials are available in three colors.
Our memorial trees are molded from an actual tree but is hollow like our memorial rocks. Available in two colors, our memorial trees are manufactured of construction grade GFRC cast stone and can endure freeze-thaw conditions and 9,000 pounds per square inch of pressure. The memorial trees are designed to last for generations to come and withstand the elements of time and weather.
Each memorial rock and memorial tree does include a gorgeous bronze plaque. Some of our larger memorial rocks and estate series boulders can accommodate a larger plaque which can be special ordered. We allow for up to 10 lines of text with as many as 46 characters per line. Our larger plaques feature up to 18 lines of text with as many as 70 characters per line.
Each memorial rock and memorial tree also comes with an anti-theft rebar hook mounted underneath each boulder. The memorial rocks and memorial trees are so realistic that it’s unlikely that anyone would bother with what appears to be a two-ton rock. However, we do feel it is an important feature to add to our product should the customer feel it is necessary to utilize.
