Memorial Rock FAQ's
Do the memorial rocks and trees require special care?
No, our memorial rocks and trees are made to last outdoors for generations without any care. They can withstand freeze-thaw conditions, high humidity or extreme heat.
Is there a manufacturer's guarantee?
Yes! We offer a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee for the lifetime of each memorial if the craftsmanship is found to be at all defective. This excludes naturally occurring variations in color. Customers that do have a valid defective item will receive an immediate identical replacement once we are in receipt of the defective merchandise.
What makes the memorial rocks and trees a chosen color?
The molds for the stones are actually cast from actual rocks and tree stumps. We have skilled craftsman that use a permanent coloring process which requires no maintenance in the future. Our memorial stones actually appear more lifelike over the course of time and elements.
Can the memorial rocks be ordered with an urn?
Absolutely! Our memorial rocks can be ordered with a 250 cu inch, moisture resistant internal urn. The industrial grade polyvinyl chloride urn are accessed from underneath each memorial rock and are closed by hand so the cremains can be placed inside.
Can the memorial rocks be ordered with a companion urn?
Each memorial rock can be ordered with an individual or companion size urn. However, the companion urn will extend below the bottom of the memorial and will require a small hold to be dug into the soil so that the urn rests easily inside and the memorial rock rests completely on the ground.
If we already have an urn, will it fit inside the memorial's urn?
The memorials are actually designed for those who do not yet have an urn but the internal urn will accommodate another urn the measures no more than 5 inches (W) by 5 inches (L) by 8 inches (H).
Is it possible to see a proof of the plaque before completion?
Yes. We will send a proof, normally by fax, for your approval before it is sent for casting.
Do you have companion plaques?
Companion plaques are available for an additional charge. These come with or without date scrolls and drilled or tapped holes, dependent on whether one, both or neither of those named are still living. Please feel free to contact us at 1-877-723-4242 with pricing questions depending on your options.
I don't know what to put on my plaque. Can you help me with an epitaph?
We can! We can help you by suggesting some standard epitaphs or help you sort out a special remembrance to your loved one or your beloved pet. We want your memorial rock or tree to not only serve as a tribute to your dearly loved but also to bring a sense of comfort to you. How long until I receive my order?
Once we receive your order, please allow 18-25 business days for production and installation and shipping in the United States. All memorial rocks are carefully packaged in 350 pound double wall corrugated boxes and are shipped FedEx ground. Your memorial rock can be sent sooner in some cases, if needed for a ceremony. In as early as 6-8 business days, you can receive your memorial rock; however the plaque will not be included. There is an additional $30 charge for separately shipping the plaque.
How is my order shipped?
Our standard memorial rocks, trees and pet memorials range in weight from 40-100 pounds and are able to be shipped FedEx ground. Our memorial rocks and trees are carefully packaged in a 350 pound double wall corrugated box. We use and industrial foam in place system to protect the memorial rock or tree during transit. Our larger estate series memorial rocks and pet memorial rocks are shipped on a pallet via common carrier.
What is the best way to unpack the memorial?
The most important thing to do upon receipt of your package is to carefully inspect it for damage. All damage must be reported immediately to 1-800-GO-FEDEX to make a claim before contacting Everlasting Memories. Once the package has been opened, the packaging system can be removed by carefully breaking it off in pieces. Another option is to gently tear off pieces of the actual corrugated box to make access to the foam easier. Please note that we are not responsible to damage to the memorials made when a customer unpacks them. Please use the utmost care when unpacking your memorial. Each memorial includes an internal urn for cremains and this urn will be wrapped and placed among the packaging materials.
Can someone steal my memorial rock?
The memorial rocks are very realistic so it's doubtful anyone is likely going to attempt to bother with what appears to be an 800 pound boulder. However, you can use the heavy duty metal eye bolt underneath the memorial rock for anti-theft purposes.
